<\/p>\nTo be perfectly honest, I had no idea what to expect after graduation.\u00a0 It’s not something that people talk about a lot during college except for plans, hopes, and dreams about what they want to do after graduation.\u00a0 I certainly had hopes and dreams but my future has been nebulous for a long time, and graduating left me at something of a null point in my life.<\/p>\n
All of a sudden I didn’t have a routine anymore or a general structure of the future.\u00a0 For the past five years, I’ve always had the next semester to plan around or future classes to think about.\u00a0 Being the master of my fate is funnily similar to being in free-fall.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At first it was easy.\u00a0 I made a habit out of going to the library each day where I would diligently send out applications to game development studios, hoping that each one would be my big break into the industry.\u00a0 I can’t stress this enough:\u00a0 game development is my passion, and my dream, and I will never stop working towards that dream.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, real life has a way of getting in the way sometimes.\u00a0 The lease of my house ended July 11th and I had no job and no place to stay.\u00a0 I had to stop applying to those “career starter” type jobs and look for work locally, but in a college town, summer jobs are usually snapped up pretty quickly.<\/p>\n

Right now I’m staying with some family while I look for a job to get my feet under me.\u00a0 It’s been a huge relief to have a place to stay while I job hunt.\u00a0 I have a moment to breathe, and I think things are looking up.<\/p>\n
As far as what the future holds, I’m hoping to spend some of my spare time working more on The Card and hopefully publishing that soon.\u00a0 I’m in a bigger city than before, and I’d like to touch base with the local game stores.\u00a0 And of course, the top priority is finding that job.<\/p>\n
